Fantastic Events this February in London
With time flying by this freezing February, it’s time to get out and have some fun. This month also includes some special occasions. Show some love this Valentine’s Day, Family Day and for Black History month. From sports to food and entertainment go out for a Feb-ulous time.
Take a Shot at Sports
As you sit in your winter boots watch the London Lighting boys run the court in their sneakers at the Budweiser Gardens 99 Dundas Street. They will be playing against the St. John Edge on Thursday, February 15, at 7:00 P.M. They will be dribbling again on Sunday, February 18, at 2:00 P.M. vs the KW Titans. Prepare your voice for some cheering whether it be at home or on the bleachers. There is a minimum cost of $14.00 and up to $75.75 for entry. The basketball game can also be viewed live.
African Food Festival
Friday, February 16
From 5:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. enjoy some free traditional dishes from the tropical continent of Africa. This is easier than getting on a plane. At the Trinity United Church Community Centre, on 76 Doulton Street have a chance to meet and mingle and be introduced to a new experience. Snowshoeing for Families

At Longwoods Road Conservation Area get taught all you will need to know for an outdoor event of learning one of the longest forms of winter travel, snowshoeing. The history, styles and lessons will be included and a chance to travel the trails. Warm up around the indoor woodstove and enjoy the scent of fire and nature. The location is at Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum, Conservation Area 8348 Longwoods road.
Some Jazz with Your Valentine

Join Carol Welsman at the Aeolian. She is a singer and pianist, 6-time Juno Award nominee and will be performing some songs from her latest album. These are a collection of different love songs. Her family background inspired them and perhaps she will inspire you too. Starting at 8:00 P.M. at the Aeolian Hall Musical Arts Association, 795 Dundas Street East.
