London’s Winter Wonderland
Winter is getting colder and colder but that just means Christmas day is getting closer and closer, and if you’re not ready for the most wonderful time of the year, here is a way to get excited for the holidays.
Decorating your own home and tree in lights is a beautiful sight, but London, Ontario is offering an even more stunning attraction.
All December long, from the 1st till the 31st, the Winter Wonderland at Victoria Park is a way to include some family festivities, with a few exceptions. It is closed, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Visit Victoria Park as all the trees are decorated with more than 75,000 Christmas lights. Along with your walk, see the decked-out displays, and participate in some public skating.
Skating is available daily throughout the winter season from 10a.m. till 10p.m. Skate rentals are also an option, and the ice will be closed from 5:30p.m. till 6:30.p.m for ice resurfacing.
The park opens at 6:15p.m. and the lights will be flicked on shortly after, at 6:50p.m.
Bundle up and bring your hot beverages for this walk and feel merry about the warm welcome.
