Take a day trip to the beautiful town of Port Stanley and end your day with a performance of Canadian legend Dan Needles' newest play "Ed's Garage." With his ability to transform from one character to the next in the blink of an eye, and make you laugh while he's doing it, Dan Needles has entertained crowds for decades. Most often in the form of his ''Wingfield'' comedy series. This newest performance follows Ed, the owner of a garage and a former farmer who sometimes doesn't even know who he is himself. 

Join the party at one of Ontario's best food and beer festivals. Experience classic tribute music and satisfy your inner child with amusement rides while you try all manner of ribs and sample only the best craft beers and drinks. This event goes from 11am – 11pm every day except Monday, and will run from August 1 – 5. Admission is free, so you have no excuse not to sample as many treats and drinks as you are able to!

If you've taken the trip over to Port Stanley to escape the heat, then you'll no doubt already know just how full of culture the town itself is. With the greatest boutiques, restaurants and cultural exhibits around, It's no surprise that I'm telling you to visit again (or for the first time) to take in the Port Stanley & Regional Art Fair. August 3-4 at the Dominion of Canada building artists from all over the region will be showcasing their best works for the discerning eye. Whether you are a collector, or simply a lover of art, you will appreciate the style and talent displayed here, and you may even find your next piece for the wall. If you haven't had the chance yet to take in the incredible display of 12×12 art pieces exhibited at the Westland Gallery, take some time this long weekend to do just that! Another art show displaying the incredible talent of some local artists, these pieces feature a strict adherence to artworks that are one square foot in size. Despite the similarity in size, it will be incredible to see how each artist has tackled the constraint. More information can be found on their website.
