Winter is fast on its way to melting into a distant memory, and we can help it on its journey by stepping out and enjoying some of the incredible events in London. Each in some way can be considered an indicator of Spring and the joy it brings!
Riverdance at Budweiser Gardens - March 3-5
Music, dancing, and pure entertainment. What could be more Spring-like than that? The award-winning Broadway show is coming to London in a reinvention you’ve never seen before. You don’t have to Irish to dance this jig! Visit Budweiser Gardens for tickets or more info, but hurry fast before tickets are sold out!
London Farm Show at Western Fair District March 4-6
When Spring rolls around, I imagine no one is happier than the farmers. Those first warm days are often the busiest, as they prepare the ground for new life, and what an incredible thing that is when the season comes in earnest. If you’ve ever been involved in farming or just want to know more about the business side of these heralds of Spring, you can get details on their website.
Kinsmen Fanshawe Sugar Bush - March 7-29
Even before that first taste of Spring arrives, sugar producers are busy getting ready for the rush. But all that preparation pays off when the days grow warmer, and ordinary folk like us can enjoy the unique sweetness of Canada’s favourite treat, Maple Syrup. With sugar bushes all over Ontario, it’s hard to pick just one to visit, but this is certainly one to see. If the tree tapping at Fanshawe Pioneer Village wasn’t enough, take a wagon ride into the magic of the sugar bush here. The bush is located at 21201-c Lakeside Drive, Thorndale, ON, and is open every weekend in March.
