Living in the city doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the simpler things in life, such as visiting corn mazes, picking pumpkins, and crunching leaves beneath your feet. We’ve compiled a list of 5 farms near London, Ontario, where you can partake in your favourite fall-time activities.
30 Minute Drive
After a scenic drive through the countryside, you’ll come across Flowers Pumpkin Farm near the Thames River. This small but rustic farm offers hundreds of pumpkins to choose from, along with free admission. They also put time and care into setting up fall-themed displays and other photo props, making it a fabulous place to take festive photos with friends or family!
20 Minute Drive
Don’t let the name fool you; Apple Land Station also grows pumpkins! This second-generation farm thrives from the hundreds of families that visit each year to partake in their pick-your-own apples and pumpkins and the additional fun activities they’ve created. From a miniature train tour to a giant sand mountain, this farm is perfect for teaching little ones about agriculture and making memories.
20 Minute Drive
Like Flowers Pumpkin Farm, this is another small, family farm closer to the heart of London, Ontario. Roy and his family sell fresh pumpkins, squash, gourds, and sweet corn. Additionally, they design a photo area each year, making this place an excellent idea for a yearly tradition.
30 Minute Drive
Kustermans is another second-generation farm taken over by Steve and his wife, Hillary, in 2010. They breathed new life into the farmstead. Today, they boast 14 acres of blueberries, 3 acres of strawberries, 2 acres of raspberries, and 5 acres of pumpkins.
Aside from their pick-your-own crops, they also have many agritainment attractions like farm animals, hay jumps, kid-friendly zip lines, and a yearly corn maze. This year, they took inspiration from the Lost City of Atlantis.
40 Minute Drive
Also featured in our article on London apple orchards, Great Lakes Farms is a gorgeous property with a historic barn that has been renovated to have a spacious farm market and eating area. During the fall, you can pick your own apples and pumpkins and partake in other farm activities like a corn maze, tractor rides, and a natural-component playground area.
You’ll want to bookmark this place as well. During the spring, they have pick-your-own peaches and strawberries, ripe for the taking.
